ALL ON THE LINE

Cyclone Promotions are proud to announce ALL ON THE LINE, a fantastic night of championship boxing on Friday November 20 headlined by a local derby for the vacant BBBofC Celtic Middleweight title fight between Coalisland's Conrad 'Dynamite' Cummings and Belfast's Alfredo Meli. These two outstanding undefeated prospects clash at Belfast's famous Waterfront Hall in a ten-round championship contest.

Tyrone's highly-rated Conrad Cummings has made an impressive start to his professional career since making his pro debut in February 2014. The Cyclone Promotions' prospect is trained by world renowned coach Shane McGuigan and managed by former World Featherweight Champion and Hall of Famer Barry McGuigan. In his most recent outing Cummings made his US debut on the undercard of stablemate and World Champion Carl 'The Jackal' Frampton. The undefeated Cummings stopped WBC Fecombox champion Oscar Riojas in the second-round of an explosive contest in El Paso, Texas.

Former World Series of Boxing (WSB) star Cummings faces the toughest test of his professional career on November 20 at the Waterfront Hall when he takes on former Irish amateur star Alfredo Meli. Undefeated Belfast prospect Meli, mentored by former British Champion Martin Lindsay, represented Ireland as an amateur, hailing from the renowned Immaculata Boxing Club. As a professional the twenty-five year old 'Fredo' is undefeated and impressed in his last bout, beating Scotland's Rhys Pagan for the Celtic Nations Middleweight Title in Belfast in August of this year.

Friday November 20 is all set to be one of the one of the most highly anticipated domestic clashes Belfast has seen in years. The winner of Cummings vs Meli will pick up the coveted Celtic belt, a title previously held by men such as Belfast's Carl Frampton and Wales' Lee Selby, and can look forward to a bright future in one of the hottest divisions in British and Irish boxing. The loser will have to reevaluate their future, it really is ALL ON THE LINE.

Conrad Cummings Quote:
"I'm delighted that this fight is happening. Friday November 20 is going to be a big night for me. I have been working hard with Shane and the team for the past two years and now I have my first title shot in Belfast and against a talented local fighter. Both myself and Alfredo want to be in big fights like this, it's what Belfast boxing needs. We met in the amateurs and I won but I won't be taking anything for granted ahead of this fight. I'm getting quality sparring partners flown in and I know what I have to do to win this fight. On November 20 I will be the new Celtic Middleweight Champion!"

Alfredo Meli Quote:
"I can't wait for November 20. To be headlining at the Waterfront Hall in a title fight and a local derby is fantastic. These are the types of fights that I got into boxing for. We're both undefeated and it's going to be a cracking fight but I will end the night as the new champion!"

Barry McGuigan (Manager of Conrad Cummings) Quote:
"This is going to be a top-notch fight and a brilliant night for Belfast boxing because we don’t get to watch many local derbies. Conrad has progressed very well over the past year and a half as a pro and now it's his time to shine. Alfredo Meli is a tough kid who isn't afraid of anyone and I have no doubt that this will be an excellent contest. There will only be one winner though on November 20, and I believe that will be Conrad 'Dynamite' Cummings."

Blain McGuigan (Cyclone Promotions) Quote:
"I'm really pleased that we've managed to get this fight made. It's a fantastic contest between two genuine prospects who have yet to taste defeat as pros. It's a credit to both Conrad and Alfredo that they have taken this fight. There's a bit of history between them and its all set up to be an electric evening of boxing on Friday November 20 at the brilliant Waterfront Hall."

There will be a host of local talent on the undercard of ALL ON THE LINE, including Belfast's popular Paul Hyland Jr, who will feature on a soon to be announced stacked undercard
